If you're looking for a unique gift that will really wow someone, look no further than our portrait cookies!
We wanted to show you a little behind-the-scenes, so you can understand the detailed process for these special cookies. Each cookie is individually hand drawn and a single design can take anywhere from three to five hours:
First, we ask you to submit at least one photo of the portrait you want us to create. If you send us a few more, it'll help us get a better feel and capture the right essence of the person.

We take your photos and then simplify them by sketching your portraits by hand, which we can then use as somewhat of a template. Sometimes, we'll also print out your photo and recreate the print itself into a template.
Once we have a template, we cut each cookie by hand and bake. Once the cookies are cool, we start first by outlining some basic details onto the cookie with an edible marker and then start icing away. We'll mostly use royal icing but will sometimes paint in details using food dye.
The first cookie is the most time-consuming. Once we know what we're doing, we're able to replicate the cookie by hand a little faster. Because each cookie is done completely freehand, your portrait cookies will slightly vary from cookie to cookie. We do our best to capture your image as consistently as possible and put forth our most sincere efforts when recreating your faces into edible pieces of art!
Along with our hand drawn portrait cookies, we also offer edible print portraits and edible print caricatures! Contact us today, and we'll be happy to walk you through the process of ordering amazing portrait cookies for the people you want to celebrate!
